Sponsored Products powered by Mabaya

Objective

Provide a lightweight solution for Sellers to log in to Mabaya Backoffice and submit their sponsored products.

Setup

In order to use Mabaya the venture needs to set up a merchant account with Mabaya the product catalogue is then synced from the shop system to Mabaya. When a Seller logs in for the first time is automatically created at the same time there is no additional account set up needed. Furthermore, the SC Promotions Module needs to be enabled to use this feature.

Critical Knowledge
In order to activate the feature, please create a ticket in TMLSD. The configuration that needs to be enabled is Mabaya / enabled additionally the following parameters need to be provided by Mabaya:
Mabaya / hash
Mabaya / url
Mabaya / backoffice_url

Precondtions by the Venture

When sending the data from the Shop System to Mabaya, as merchantId the id from the seller within the Shop System should be used. That way seller get identified, when they try to use Seller Center to connect to Mabaya.

Enable the Feature

In order to enable Mabaya the respective setting needs to be enabled for each Seller manually or using the Seller Setting Import

The setting can be found under Admin>Seller Management>Setup Sellers>Edit in the group Promotion set Seller can use Mabaya to Yes
Set up Content Page for Seller education
  • When the feature is enabled there will be a new menu item Promotions>Sponsored Products.
  • The page behind it is fully customisable by the venture and only contains a button redirecting to Mabaya Backoffice if the feature is enabled for the Seller. This can be set up in Administration>Settings>Content Management search for sponsored_products_introduction
  • If the feature is not enabled for the Seller the button will be hidden and a second CMS block will be displayed which is supposed to be used to provide contact information for Sellers to apply for the program. This can be set up in Administration>Settings>Content Management search for sponsored_products_login_url
 

 

Seller Experience

  • Seller reads description on how to use sponsored products
  • Seller clicks call to action (eg.Login to Sponsored Products)
  • Seller is redirected and autmatically logged in to Mayaba Backoffice in new Tab
 Seller is not enabled to access Mabaya
  •  Seller navigates to Promotions > Sponsored Products
  • Seller reads description on how to use sponsored products
  • Seller reads description on how to be authorised to use Sponsored Products
