Export Manager

Objective

  • Allows Sellers to download large CSV / XLSX files for exports.
  • Increases performance and stability.
  • Works asynchronously.
    • Sellers can focus on other work within Seller Center while the file is generated.
  • Works on all types of CSV file-generating areas
  • Shows a history of created CSV files.
    Critical Knowledge

    • Export Manager will be available on all existing CSV file generations in all areas (e.g., master templates, order processing, Transaction Overview etc.).
    • Each user for a Seller can generate their own reports.
    • Files will be auto-compressed to a ZIP archive when the export is larger than 10MB.
    • Reports will only be available for 48 hours after the completion.
      • Afterwards, the file will be deleted.
      • File can be re-initiated.
    • Alternatively exports are available in XLSX format

    Performance

    • The Export Manager increases the performance CSV file generation:
      • Old CSV generation: 5843 products in 135,5 seconds
      • With the Export Manager: 5843 products in 6,7 seconds

    • Go to the Manage Products page.
    • A new empty area named “Exports” is at the bottom.

    • Sellers can generate their exports like normal.
    • Click “Export” and select the file (e.g., “Health & Beauty”)

    • Seller Center will generate the files in the background.
    • A new line will automatically be added in the bottom area.
    • The “Status” column is idle until the report has been generated.
    • Download link automatically appears when it is ready.
    • file generation can take several minutes.
      • This depends on the overall system load (e.g., how  many Sellers are generating reports).
    • Sellers can download the prepared file by clicking the “Download” button.
