Promotion Management – Email Notification

Objective

As a Venture, I want to send out emails about upcoming campaigns to encourage Sellers to apply for them.

Settings

This feature only works in combination with an UMS system (Experian Marketing Solutions). If the UMS system needs to be enabled, please raise a TMLSD ticket. The configuration that needs to be changed is promotion/marketing_email/enabled. Additional configuration is also required (please see below).

Go to Administration > Promotion Overview

Create a new promotion or edit an existing one.

Check “Do you want to send a marketing email?”

The date input field appears. Select a date.

Promo_marketing_email
The promotion email is sent to Sellers who are active and have products matching selected categories and brands.

The email limit is set to 10,000 by default, but can be modified upon request. In order to change the limit, please create a TMLSD ticket. The configuration that needs to be changed is promotion/marketing_email/sellers_per_email_limit.

Admin Configuration

In order for this feature to be properly set up, the following information is needed:

  • UMS network ID
  • UMS subnetwork ID
  • UMS ProfileType ID
  • UMS ProfileName
  • UMS sender ID
  • UMS XML API endpoint

Email Content

Due to the technical limitations and usability issues with UMS, the content of this type of email is managed within the Seller Center.

  • Open Administration > Settings > Content Management
  • Search for “promotion_marketing_email” CMS block.

  • Edit “Name” to change the title of the email.
  • Edit “Content” to change the content of the email.
