Advantage Programm – Seller Tiering

Objective

The Advantage Programm helps Seller improving their sales and their overall operations in order to reach a better level / tier by offering discounts or reduced fees.

Seller are able to see their current status and what is needed from them in order to advance but also to see, what happens if their KPIs get lower and the consequences of getting down graded.

In order to activate Seller Tiering and the advantage Programm, please raise a TMLSD ticket. The configuration parameter that needs to be enabled is seller_tiering/enabled.

Seller Tier Setup

1 Go to Administration > Seller > Seller Management > Seller Tier Setup
2 In this screen the respective Tiers can be setup. It is possible to define as many levels as needed. Possible levels could be:

  • Bronze
  • Silver
  • Gold
  • Platinum
  • …
3 Click on “Add Tier” to create a new tier

The form contains different criteria which can be setup for each level. For each of those criteria it is possible to provide a small summary to the seller, which advantages a seller can get, when he reaches the next level.

The first section sets the tier information:

  • Context name: Provide a name, which can be referenced for other operations in TRE or SSM
  • Name: Provide a name, which gets displayed to Seller to understand their current tier
  • Advantage: Describe to the seller what the tier is about
  • Position: At which level this tier is located

These criteria can currently be used

  • Items sold
  • Seller age
  • Seller avarage rating
  • Seller score

It is possible for each of these criteria to turn the visibility off for seller. This means they will not see this criteria in their tiering overview.

 

Seller Tier overview

Once all tiers are created Venture user can assign Seller to specific tiers.

The overview lists all Sellers of Seller Center and their current tier. Furthermore, there is a projection of a future tier listed, to which tier a Seller could be updated soon.

It is possible to manually update a seller tier.

Once the tiers are setup all seller are unassigned. No tier is yet connected with a seller. In order to set a tier, it is possible to do it manually or via Smart Seller Management.

 

 

Seller Experience

For Sellers there is a dashboard available which highlights their current status and which actions need to be done in order to advance or which actions to prevent in order to not be downgraded.

Seller can find their overview within the Reports-section under Advantage Programme.

 

Known Feature Limitations

  • The medals (either in the Seller Center header on the top right side or on the advantage programm page) are specific to the Venture “Jumia”. At the moment those cannot be customized
  • The medals get displayed, when the tiers have the following names:
    • Initiation / Probation
    • Bronze
    • Silver / Argent
    • Gold
  • Seller tiers can’t be updated via imported for mass assignment
